The EdSF, through its Good Health Practices Program, organized a media workshop on February 13, 2019, to ask for their contributions to raising public awareness about good practices in the fight against cardiovascular illnesses, tuberculosis, hepatitis and the importance of birth planning. Information on referrals were shared for large dissemination at grassroots level to encourage treatment.

Following this, on January 23, 2019, EdSF led an information and awareness campaign to encourage the public to adopt best practices for drugs prevention in social and school settings, HIV/AIDS, vaccination, and child immunization.

During his speech, the Programme Manager expressed his hope that this initiative will encourage political and health leaders to pay greater attention to the health needs of populations and children under 5 are more vulnerable. He stressed that this campaign could serve as a springboard to accelerate actions in favor of the health of young adolescents and encourage them to take charge of their future, emphasizing the commitment of partners to support the Burundian government in the development and implementation of policies and strategies focused on improving the health of the population and young people in particular.
